The Mariners x The Cornish Arms in Tavistock takeover

Join us at The Mariners on Friday 15th January as we welcome our good friends from The Cornish Arms in Tavistock for a special collaborative menu celebrating the best of both kitchens. Expect Cornish crab, game ragù raviolo, grilled XL scallop with Café de Paris butter, day-boat Cornish seabass with lobster scampi, and roasted Cornish lamb with sticky rib and red wine and mint gravy, followed by seasonal desserts and British cheeses. £135 per person, with an optional drinks pairing for £50 per person.

Dining with us

The Mariners has been a beloved part of the local community since the mid-1990s, and it holds a special place in our hearts. Inspired by Paul’s fond memories of family visits to local pubs during his childhood, we wanted to create a space that feels just as welcoming and full of warmth. With stunning views of the Camel Estuary, it’s the perfect spot to pop in for a bite to eat or stop by for a drink, whether you’re a local or just passing through. Our menu features British pub classics like the hearty Ploughman’s and our much-loved Mariners Burger, alongside a specials menu that changes with the seasons, always showcasing the best of local produce.

By land or by sea

We are located in the heart of Rock, within easy reach of the passenger ferry slipway – Slipway, Rock, Cornwall, PL27 6LD.

By Car:
The closest car park is the Rock Quarry Car Park. Alternatively, why not park in Padstow and enjoy the ferry ride across the Camel Estuary.

From Padstow:
If you are visiting us from Padstow, hop on the ferry! The Padstow-Rock ferry runs year-round and takes a few minutes to cross the Padstow Bay. During peak season, you can also reach us by Water Taxi.
